If you’re planning on getting out of London and are wondering where you should head to next, then you might want to consider making your way to Bristol, as new research has found that this is in fact one of the most popular choices for Londoners looking to get out of the capital.

Analysis carried out by BBC England’s data unit, looking into NHS registrations, revealed the top five places for Londoners to move to as being Birmingham, Brighton and Hove, Thurrock, Epping Forest in Essex and Bristol. These were followed by Elmbridge in Surrey, Medway, Manchester and Dartford in Kent.

No doubt these places are of particular interest because they’re not a million miles away from the capital (commuting from places like Bristol and Birmingham wouldn’t be too much of a hardship if it had to be done), but also because the quality of life is perceived as being better and property prices are a lot more favourable.

There are many reasons why you might want to move to Bristol, such as the beautiful places and interesting culture… sure to impress you even if you have spent the last few years in London town. There’s St Mary Redcliffe church, for example, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Cabot Park, Millennium Square… the list goes on and on, and there’s so much to see and do that you’ll be kept busy for quite some time.
