It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for since they started dating – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are finally engaged and will be tying the knot in spring next year… and perhaps even more excitingly than that, it’s possible that they’ll be moving in or around Bristol once they’ve said their vows.
According to the Bristol Post, the village of Luckington – just outside the city – has been pipped to be the destination of choice for the happy couple, which no doubt will spark an interest in properties in the village and its outlying areas from other house hunters as well.
Luckington itself is a beautiful little township nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds near Yate and Chipping Sodbury, although if you’re keen to move to this wonderful part of the world you may struggle to find a property in the village itself.
There are just four properties listed on Rightmove in the area at the moment so you’ll have to be quick – and you’ll also have to have a pretty penny put away as well. There’s an eight-bedroom detached house up for grabs at Luckington Court, a stunning Grade II-listed 11th century house with original Tudor features, but it’ll set you back a cool £7,750,000!
Or at the other end of the scale there’s a two-bed detached stone bungalow on School Lane in Luckington for sale that will cost you £350,000. The price was reduced in September so you might be able to haggle your way into getting a bargain if your skills are up to scratch.
